Jim has a box in the shape of a rectangular prism. The area of the base of the box is 48 square inches. The volume of the box is 144 cubic inches. let h = the height of Jim's box. Write and solve an equation you can use to find the height of Jim's box.

    Volume = v, height = h, area of the base = B

    v=h•b

    144=h•48

    h=144/48

    h=3 inches
