ABC paint company needs to paint the outside of the building shown. They will also need to paint the roof. What is the surface area that needs to be painted?

    An unpainted roof. Assuming the dimensions of the roof are 10 meters by 5 meters by 0.2 meters. To solve for the total surface area of the roof to be painted:

    SA = 2 (wl + lh + wh)

    SA = 2 (10*5 + 10*0.2 + 5*0.2)

    SA = 106 square meters
