    The cost of tickets for adults is:

    y = 1.5x

    The cost of tickets for students is:

    x

    4 adult tickets and 12 student tickets

    (1.5x) * (4) + (x) * (12) <270

    We clear x:

    6x + 12x = 270

    18x = 270

    x = 270/18

    x = 15

    Adults:

    y = 1.5 * (15) = 22.5 $

    Students:

    x = $ 15

    answer:

    If student tickets cost $ 15.00 and adult tickets cost $ 22.50, the ticket prices are as advertised and Taryn will meet his goal.
