A ladder is leaning against a wall. The length of the ladder is 15 meters and the base of the ladder is placed 9 meters away from the wall. How far up the wall will this ladder reach?

    Using the Pythagorean Theorem:

    15^2 = 9^2 + height^2

    height^2 = 225 - 81

    height^2 = 144

    height = 12

    The ladder goes 12 feet up the wall.
