The length of a rectangle is 6 ft longer than its width. if the perimeter of the rectangle is 32 ft, find its area.

    32/2 = 16

    16 = w + w+6

    16 = 2w+6

    10=2w

    w=10/2 = 5

    width = 5, length = 5+6=11

    5+5 + 11+11 = 32

    area = 5 * 11 = 55 square feet
