    Using long division;

    Dividing; 2x³ - 3x² - 17x - 30 (Dividend)

    BY : x+3 (Divisor)

    dividend : 2x³ - 3x² - 17x - 30

    - divisor * 2x² 2x² + 6x²

    Remainder - 9x² - 17x - 30

    divisor * - 9x - 9x² - 27x

    Remainder 10x - 30

    Divisor * 10x^0 10x + 30

    Remainder - 60

    Thus;

    The Quotient is 2x² - 9x + 10

    Remainder is - 60
