    You can not break that down any further if x does not equal anything and the equation is not equal to anything.

    By using a calculator, making the mixed numeral 3 3/4=3.75, and making - 2/5 a decimal = - 0.4, you can now simply multiply:

    3.75 x - 0.4 = - 1.5

    Remember that a positive and a negative give you a negative answer.
