My new golf club was $139.50 but its last year's model so i got a 60% discount. What will it cost me? (show your work)

    Hi there!

    To find a discount you need to covert the percentage to a decimal and multiply it by the selling price, then take the product of that and subtract it from the selling price, like so:

    60% is 0.6 as a decimal

    $139.50 * 0.6 = $83.70

    $139.50 - $83.70 = $55.80
