What is the probability that you draw a diamond or a spade from a standard deck of cards?

    There are total 52 cards in a pack of cards and 13 each i. e hearts, spades, clubs and diamonds

    so P (diamond) = 13/52

    and P (spades) = 13/52

    so probability that you draw a diamond or a spade is P (D) + P (S) = 13/52+13/52=1/2
