In a garden, 20% of the plants are ferns and the remaining are flowers. If the number of ferns is 180 fewer than the number of flowers, how many plants are there in all?

    Divide 180 by. 6 you get 300 which is the total. Then you multiply 300 by. 8 which gives you 240 and plug that into the equation would be 240-180 giving you 60 ferns which is also 20%
