Tomas makes balloon sculptures at a circus. in 180 minutes, he uses 252 balloons to make 36 indentical ballon sculptures. a. what is tomas's unit rate for balloons used per minute?

    First, what do u notice about the relationship between 180min and 60min.

    180:3=60

    Now, lets swap the 252 balloons to a X. The rate will be, 60:X

    Like what I did with 180, divide 252 by 3 (u know when a # can be divided equally when u add them is in its table. so for this one, 2+5+2=9, 9:3=3. u see) which is 84. NOW, we've got the rate. But the question is, what's the unit rate per min.

    So, divide 60 by 60 and get 1. Then divide 60 by 252 and get 1.4.

    The unit rate per min is 1:1.4
