The baker had some oil. He used 4 2/6 cups of oil to make cakes and 3 2/6 cups of oil to make cookies. Now he has 2 4/6 cups of oil left. How many cups of oil did the baker start with?

    4 2/6 + 3 2/6 + 2 4/6 = 10 2/6 or 10 1/3

    4 + 3 + 2 = 9

    2/6 + 2/6 + 4/6 = 1 2/6

    9 + 1 2/6 = 10 2/6
