Ruby bought 6 magazines that cost $4.44 each. She also bought a paperback book. The total price for these items before tax was $33.96. What was the price of the book?

    Total price of the 6 magazines: 6 * $4.44 = $26.64

    Total paid for all = 33.96

    Price of book = 33.96 - 26.64

    = $7.32
