If a fair coin is flipped eight times, what is the probability that heads comes up three or more times?

    Since the probability of a head occuring when tossed a time is 1/2

    x=head occuring 3 or more times

    Pr (x>=3) = 1-Pr (x<3) = 1 - (0.5) (0.5) ^2

    Pr (x>=3) = 0.875
