    A = (1,2) and b = (2, - 1). Find 4a - 3b

    1st carry out the scalar multiplication 4a and - 3b

    4a = [4 (1), 4 (2) ] = (4, 8)

    -3b = [-3 (2). - 3 (-1) ] = (-6, + 3)

    4a - 3b = [ (4-6), (8+3) ] = (-2, 11)
