    S + w = 37

    s = w + 19

    w + 19 + w = 37

    2w + 19 = 37

    2w = 37 - 19

    2w = 18

    w = 18/2

    w = 9 < = = = 9 years watching t. v.

    s = w + 19

    s = 9 + 19

    s = 28 < = = = 28 years sleeping
