David sold 47 jars of strawberry jam at the farmers' market. this year, he would like to increase his sales by 23 percent. how many jars will david need to sell this year to make his goal? round your answer to the nearest whole jar.

    (.23) (47) = 10.81

    Then, we have to add this to the original amount to find the total.

    47 + 10.81 = 57.81

    Then, when we round this to the nearest jar it is 58, and that is the final answer.
