    Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

    Answer:

    x = (1/2) (z + y)

    Discussion:

    Solve 2x-y = z for x.

    2x - y = z = >

    2x - y + y = z + y = > (add "y" to both sides)

    2x = z + y

    x = (1/2) (z + y) (divide both sides by 2)
