    In the given question, there are several information's that are worth noting. based on these information's the correct answer can be easily deduced. The ration of girls to boys is given as 7:8. the total number of kids in the camp is 195.

    Let us assume the common ratio = x

    then

    7x + 8x = 195

    15x = 195

    x = 195/15

    = 13

    Now it would be easy to find the number of boys in the camp.

    Number of boys in the camp = 8 * 13

    = 104

    So there are a total of 104 boys among the 195 kids in the camp

    8 boys to 7 girls. You can also say 8 boys out of 15 campers.

    8:15::x:195

    8*195 = 15x

    1560 = 15x

    104 = x
