    Hello!

Let's convert 2/3 to a decimal and then divide 12 balls of yarn by that.

To convert a fraction to a decimal, we must divide its numerator by its denominator.

    2 : 3 = 0.67 (6 Repeating)

Now, divide 12 yarn balls by this:

    12 : 0.67 (Repeating) = 17.91 (Repeating decimal)

    A N S W E R:

Christopher can make 18 scarves with 12 balls of yarn.

    2/3=.6 repeating

    12/.6 repeating = 18

13 balls of yarn would be used to make 18 scarves.
