    Let the refill be x and lunch be y.

    3x+y=10.35---eq 1

    2x+y=8.35---eq 2

    eq 1-eq 2

    x=2

    Therefore, 1 refill costs $2.

    Substitute x=2 in eq 1 and we have;

    3*2+y=10.35

    y=10.35-6

    y=4.35

    There the lunch costs $4.35.
