    Since the total money paid for the water for 3months is $95 and there are 31 days in October, 30days in November and 31 days in December totalling 92days. Therefore $95 was charged for water for 92days.

    Since the owner sold the house and the rentage stopped 27th November, this shows the person only used water for (31+27) days i. e 58 days in the house.

    The amount that will be received by the owner upon closing will be;

    Since 92days of water used is equivalent to $95

    58days will be equivalent to 58*95/92 = $59.9

    The amount received will be

    95-59.9 = $35.10 (A)
