Tasha plans to tile the floor in her room with square tiles that are 1/4 foot long. Will she use more or fewer tiles if she is only able to purchase square tiles that are 1/3 foot long? Explain.

    She will need less tiles because the common dinominator of 4 and 3 is 12.

    1/4 = 3/12 and 1/3 = 4/12.

    do as you see 1/3 is greater than 1/4 therefore she will need less tiles
