    (-6.7 + 4.3) - 1.2

    (4.3 - 6.7) - 1.2 ... step 1

    4.3 - (6.7 + 1.2) ... step 2

    4.3 - (7.9) ... step 3

    -3.6 ... step 4

    I know it is not 4, because his answer is correct. And on step 2, he didn't distribute. This is a little confusing to me because I thought there had to be an equal sign in there to do the properties ... my guess would be:

    Morris uses the commutative property in step 1.
