Kate paid $27 for a dress that was on sale for 10% off. What was the original price of this dress?

    29.7$ because you multiply 27 by 10% and the number will be 2.7 and then add it to the original number it will be 29.7

    Since it was on sale for 10% off, Kate still had to pay 90% of the original price.

    Let x be the original price of the dress.

    Our equation can be expressed as

    27=x*0.90

    x=27/0.90

    x=30
