A rectangle length is 12 more inches than the width. The perimeter is 7 times the width. What is the rectangle length?

    L = 12 + w

    p = 7w

    (12 + w) + w + w + (12 + w) = 7w

    24 + 4w = 7w

    24 = 7w - 4w

    24 = 3w

    24 : 3 = w

    8 = w

    l = 8 + 12

    l = 20
