Suppose you drive 75 miles and use 3 gallons of gasoline. at the same ratio, how many miles can you drive with 12 gallons of gas?

    75/3 = 25 miles per gallon

    12 gallons at 25 miles per gallon = (12 * 25) = 300 miles <==
