The area formula for the whole circle is 3.13r^2

the area of the circle is 50.24

now time to find the sector

18 degrees is 1/20 of the overall interior angle of the circle

    (18/360=1/20)

in order to find the area of the sector we must multiply the area of the circle by the fraction we are looking to find

    50.24*1/20 = 2.512

    2.512 is your final answer
