    18 : 3 = 6 : 1

    Solution:

Try to reduce the ratio further with the greatest common factor (GCF).

The GCF of 18 and 3 is 3

Divide both terms by the GCF, 3:

    18 : 3 = 6

    3 : 3 = 1

The ratio 18 : 3 can be reduced to lowest terms by dividing both terms by the GCF = 3:

    18 : 3 = 6 : 1

    Therefore:

    18 : 3 = 6 : 1

All you do is you divide so in this case you can divide 3 by both 18 and 3 so 18 divided by 3 gives you 6 and 3 divided by 3 gives you 1 so the answer would be 6:1
