sharif ran a 2 mile race at an average speed of 8 miles per hour. if arif ran the same race at an average speed of 6 mile per hour, how many minutes longer than sharif did arif take to complete the race?

    Divide miles ran by speed to get time:

    2 miles / 8 miles per hour = 0.25 hours = 15 minutes.

    2 miles / 6 miles per hour = 0.33 hours = 20 minutes.

    20 minutes - 15 minutes = 5 minutes longer.
