    The banana will land on the shrub after 1.88 seconds

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Step 1: Find the height of the shrub above the ground.

    Height = 50 ft - 30 ft = 20 ft

    Step 2: Find the time at which the banana falls on the shrub

    h (t) = - 16t + 50

    20 = - 16t + 50

    -30 = - 16t

    ∴ t = 30/16 = 1.88 seconds
