The mathematics department of a college has 1212 male professors, 1313 female professors, 88 male teaching assistants, and 55 female teaching assistants. if a person is selected at random from the group, find the probability that the selected person is a professor or a male.

    The probability

    = 1 - [55 / (1212+1313+88+55) ]

    = 1 - (55/2668)

    = 2613/2668
