    The answer is 14444 ft

    The distance around the crater is actually a perimeter of a circle:

    P = 2 πr

    We have diameter d:

    d = 4600 ft

    r = d/2 = 4600/2 = 2300 ft

    So:

    P = 2 * 3.14 * 2300

    P = 14444 ft
