In any number, each digit holds its own value. The guide for these values are called place values. It is called as such because can determine its value by locating its place. If the digit has a value of 70, that means that a digit 7 is in the tens place. This is the second digit from the right of a certain number. Examples would be 570, 4579, and 2,900,470.
