    X = 17a + 13c

    X is total cost

    a is the total number of adult tickets being bought

    c is the total number of child tickets being bought

    In the world problem, we learn Eduardo's dad is purchasing 1 adult ticket and 2 child tickets. This gives us: X = 17 (1) + 13 (2)

    X = 17 + 26

    X = 43

    $43 was the total cost of the tickets
