What is 2 7/9 as a improper fraction? I keep solving it wrong

    2 7/9 as an improper fraction is 25/9. How? 2 and 7 over 9, that's simple, take your denominator and multiply it by the whole number (9x2=18) and whatever number you got for that answer, take that and add it by the numerator (18+7) and that would be your numerator for your improper fraction as whatever the denominator was as the regular fraction, bring it over, the denominator stays the same at all times. (25/9)
