What is the vertex, y intercept, and a value of this equation? "y=-x^2-4x-1"?

    Hello:

    y = - x²-4x-1

    y = - (x²+4x+1)

    y = - ((x²+4x+4) - 4+1)

    y = - ((x+2) ²-3)

    y = - (x+2) ²+3 the vertex is A (-2; 3)
