The speed of lights is approximately 3 x 10^8 meters per second, while the speed of sound is approximately 304 x 10² meters per second. How many times faster is the speed of light than the speed of sound?

    Firstly, the speed of sound at sea level is about 340m/s, so light is (3x10^8) / (3.40x10^2) times faster than light = 882352.9 ... = 882,000 (3sf)
