Julie conducts an experiment to find the average word length in a book for a 4th grader and a book for a 8th grader. She finds that for the fourth grade book the mean word length is 5 letters with a range of 6 and for the 8th grade book the mean word length is 6 letters with a range of 9. Which statement is true?

    No i would be c. for the 8th graders. Since the range is higher for the 8th grade book you can conclude that The word length varies more in the 8th grade book than the 4th grade book.

    I believe it would be A. because B is not true, you would have enough information to make a call. C is incorrect because the range in the fourth grade book is only 6, while the range of the eighth grade book is 9. and D is false because even if you take the mean plus the range to find the longest book, the eight grade book would still have a longer word
