    A. A = bh

    b. A = bh

    8x² - 2x - 45 = (b) (4x + 9)

    8x² + 18x - 20x - 45 = b (4x + 9)

    2x (4x) + 2x (9) - 5 (4x) - 5 (9) = b (4x + 9)

    2x (4x + 9) - 5 (4x + 9) = b (4x + 9)

    (2x - 5) (4x + 9) = b (4x + 9)

    2x + 5 = b

    c. I notice that I have to factor the area in order to make it a binomial. Then, I have to cross out the 4x + 9 in order to find the base of the parallelogram, which is 2x + 5.
