Yes this is correct. if you do distribution and multiply 2 times x it's 2x. you then multiply 2 times 6 and this equals 12. add twelve and 8 and this equals 20. the answer 2x+20 is correct

Yes 2 (x+6) + 8=2x+20
because you would do distributive property so it would be 2x+6+8 so 2x+20
