We are given the total number of pedestrian deaths occuring by accidents. In thsi case, the probability of having an intoxicated driver causing a pedestrian death is 1/8989. since the problem says without replacement, then the second probability is equal to 1/8988. the total probability is (1/8989) * (1/8988) equal to 1/80793132 or 1.24 x10^-8.
