Is the ordered pair (6, 5) a solution to the equation 3x - 4y = - 2? Explain.

    Yes because you substitute the x and y with the values given

    3 (6) - 4 (5) = - 2

    combine the terms

    18 - 20 = - 2

    and then subtract 18-20 winch gives you

    -2 = - 2
