If a side of the square is 10 inches and the base of the triangle is 10 inches what is the height of the triangle

    If the triangle is contained within the square (which is not specified but I'm guessing that's one thing it could be) the the height would be ten.

    There's no possible way to know that without the other piece of information

    that's there but you decided not to share with us. It says something like "The

    square and the triangle have equal areas." or "The square and the triangle have

    equal perimeters.". Something like that.
