In a neighborhood of 846 people, 346 voted in the last election. What percent of the neighborhood did not vote?

    Set up the proportion

    346/846 = x/100

    Then solve for x.

    To solve for x do 346*100/846

    346*100=34600

    34600/856=40.89

    Since it isn't specified what to round to, I'm going to round to the nearest whole number. So 40.89 becomes 41
