How long would it take an object to reach the floor if it dropped at a height of 0.5 and above the floor could you measure the freefall time of the object actor accurately with the stopwatch why

    - - If it dropped from a height of 0.5 foot, then it would reach the floor

    in 0.177 sec. You could not measure the time accurately with a

    stopwatch, because your own reaction time is the same order of

    magnitude as the time you'd be trying to measure.

    - - If it dropped from a height of 0.5 meter, then it would reach the floor

    in 0.319 sec. You could not measure the time accurately with a

    stopwatch, because your own reaction time is the same order of

    magnitude as the time you'd be trying to measure.

    - - If it dropped from a height of 0.5 kilometer, then ... ignoring air

    resistance ... it would reach the floor in 10.1 sec. You could measure

    that time quite accurately with a stopwatch.
