The triangles below are similar. In each traingle there is a 50 degree angle and a right angle. What is the measure of the third angle in each triangle?

    When you add all the angles of a triangle together, you will always get 180 degrees.

    Since we know the measures of two angles (a right angle is 90 degrees) we can just subtract those two from 180

    180 - 90 - 50 = 40 degrees
