The number of bulbs planted in the garden having side length of 8 feet is 320.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Given as:

The side length of square shaped garden = x ft

The number of tulip bulbs Cindy's will plant at per square foot = n = 5

Let The number of bulb to be panted for side length of garden = L = 8 feet

    Now, According to question

Since the garden is of square shaped,

So, The area of garden = area of square = side²

    I, e The area of garden = x * x ft²

Now, if the side length = L = 8 feet

So, The area of garden = L * L ft²

    I. e The area of garden = 8 * 8 ft² = 64 square feet

    Now, Again

∵ For the area of 1 square feet, the number of bulbs planted = 5

∴ For the area of 64 square feet, the number of bulbs planted = 5 * 64

    I. e For the area of 64 square feet, the number of bulbs planted = 320

Hence The number of bulbs planted in the garden having side length of 8 feet is 320. Answer
