A rectangular prism with a volume of 10 cubic units is filled with cubes with side lengths of 1/2 unit. How many 1/2 unit cubes does it take to fill the prism?

    You will need 80 cubes to fill the prism.

    If each cube fills 1/8 of a cubic unit, 8 cubes will be required per cubic unit. Now all we must do is multiply 8 cubes by the amount of volume needed to fill (10 cubic units). Then we get 80 cubes to fill 10 cubic units.
