Yes, the answer is 3/4. Use cross multiplication. So 1/2 + 1/4 Do 1 x 4 = 4 Then: 1 x2 = 2 Then the common denominator or 2 x 4 = 8 So 4 + 2 / 8 That's 6/8 Simplify: 3/4

change 1/2 so it has the same denominator as 1/4 (4)
multiply the numerator and denominator of 1/2 by 2
1*2=2
2*2=4
so 2/4+1/4 = 3/4
